Atlanta, I Hear You Calling

In one week, we have really burned up the road to Atlanta. First, Lauchlin went for the Dogwood Fine Arts Festival...

It was beautiful in Piedmont Park, right in the heart of the city.

Lots of people - and a few confused squirrels (as seen trying to escape this tree) - filled the park to look at the art.
Besides the weather and the sales, some of the highlights were...

Visiting our good friend, Courtney...

And, eating at The Flying Biscuit, a great spot for breakfast!
Three days after Lauchlin returned, Olivia headed east to help chaperone a VJHS showchoir trip (inspired in part by "Glee"). While competition was the main reason she went, she was able to fit in a few highlights of her own...

Like, getting a tour of the Atlanta Falcons' locker room...

Visiting our friend, Courtney. And, apparently, accidentally attending a biker rally.
Next stop...New Orleans. And, this time, we will enjoy it together.

If you can't find the coffee mug...

Buy the tire cover instead.

Bragging Rights

Everyone loves this season, and we're excited to have started our growing season early enough this year that we will (hopefully) have some flowers and tasty additions to our yard. We started an herb garden, and we've been vigilant (so far) about watering every day.
Here's the first of the harvest: a baby green tomato!

Resurrection

On so many levels, we've experienced rebirth! For one, we're back on the blog.

We thought the azealas would not come out because of the hard freeze we had, but they're on the way to being in full bloom.

Lauchlin got out the guitar for some porch time.

Clemmie's okay despite self-imposed emotional trauma.

After an attempt to shred ten pieces of paper, this shredder lives! Alleluia!
