Delayed Departure?

We're all packed up and ready for our trip to Knoxville for Baby Virginia's Christening. She was only a month old when we last saw her and her sister, Lydia, in October. Here they were then:

We can't wait to see how much everyone's grown.
And, while we're almost ready to hit the road, there's one problem:

Somebody is not quite ready to say goodbye and part with the suitcase for a bed...

The question now is: wait it out or risk losing a limb? Luckily, we're not scheduled to leave for a little while longer!

On the "Seen"

We were featured in this month's issue of Delta Magazine in the "Delta Seen" section. The photo op was part of a gallery event we worked in November with Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg. We thought everyone would get a kick out of seeing us in this spread:

New Look, Old Hat

Lauchlin has been sporting this hat every day since Friday. Like the rest of us, she's trying to stay warm during the Artic Blast of 2010. We're not exactly sure how it came to live here, but it's a hand-me-down from a chilhood friend. Although it's pretty old, it's still in great condition due to the fact that it hasn't been this cold in Mississippi since 1996!

Back on Track

We are starting this new year off right by diving head-first back into Weight Watchers. So far, we've taken some suggestions from fellow weight-watcher, Sandy. Here's what we feasted on Tuesday for dinner:

Zero-point vegetable soup....

Made from the freshest of ingredients.
And...

Greek chicken salad - a total of five points.
Losing weight tastes pretty good!

Snow Day

This picture was taken at VJHS on Monday while Olivia went to school. We're crossing our fingers that there's a repeat as predicted in today's news article!

Two Times is...

...a Miracle!
We watched the Cotton Bowl on the big screen down the street Saturday. We weren't too impressed with how our Rebels looked, but we were happy with the win (two Cotton Bowl wins in a row is a stretch for how the past two seasons have been).

The real win for us was hanging with one of the youngest - and cutest - Rebel fans:

Little David was rooting for Ole Miss along with us.

Sandy, however, pulled for OSU, where she received her master's degree. We forgave her for this.
Here's hoping Ole Miss can have a better 2010!

525,600 Minutes

How do you measure a year? Well, here's our recap through photos. Some of these events made the blog and some did not. It's been a good year, but we're looking forward to an even better 2010!
