First Mothers' Day

Our little man helped us ring in our first Mothers' Day, and, needless to say, it was a special day for us.
We can't wait for Grady to make us proud with his grammar usage, especially when applied this way.
Thanks, Katherine, for the laugh!

After spending most of Saturday with Olivia's mom (Grady's Grandma) in Vicksburg, we spent most of Sunday in Clinton with Lauchlin's mom (Grady's Nanie). It was nice for us both to see our moms and also celebrate the day with our Bean.

Grady and his two moms...

We sure love being moms to this silly and sweet little guy...every day.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there.

Yay for Porch Time!

Grady stayed up a little late Friday night to enjoy the cool weather on the porch with his moms.
Cheerios and the undivided attention of two moms is all it takes to make this kid happy past bedtime!
He used his extra time in the day to bring out his newest trick — clapping and dancing along to the music...

Game On

Grady has been coming up with creative ways to stay entertained at the gallery. It is all, perhaps, more of a ploy to get his Mom to stop working and start playing. Well, it worked...

Farm Fresh

Grady and Mommy (Olivia) caught the tail-end of the first Vicksburg Farmers' Market of the season Saturday. They loaded up on some of Grady's favorites — squash, zucchini and pasta.
Grady sported his new Elmo hat, which blends well with his stroller.

These are some of our favorite farmers. Those kids know how to sell!
We look forward to lots of fresh produce in our house this summer from the VFM. We can't wait for homegrown tomatoes and watermelons (already Grady-approved).

Scrub-a-Dub-Dub

Now that he has his Elmo slip mat, Grady can take baths in his cool, square, big boy tub. He loves splashing around and playing with his tub toys, including a vintage Gilligan's Island set that his Mom played with when she was little. Here's a flashback to his first night in the new tub...

He's finally grown enough hair to make a tiny, baby mohawk at bath time!

Double the Fun

Grady enjoyed his first Double Decker Festival in Oxford last weekend. We headed to Oxford Saturday morning from Batesville after Lauchlin had an event in the Delta for Blues @ Home on Friday. It was great to work in a trip to see family.
Even though we weren't able to ride the real Double Decker bus, we had fun pretending!

Grady was not impressed with the Rebel Black Bear "mascot."

He did, however, like riding Grandma's shoulders.

We picnicked on the lawn of the courthouse. Grady chowed down on some kiwi while his moms ate Abner's and the world's largest ice cream sandwich.
We visited with Kookie for a little while, and Grady tried to snatch her straw.

We bought Grady his first real art, a fine art print of the official Double Decker poster image, made by Aunt Kookie's friend, Sean Star Wars. Grady was a bit over the festival by the time we made this purchase (check out the GTH look on that baby), but it's going to look great in his room!

Grady and Mommy on The Square.

This little guy was worn out after our busy day. He even fell asleep before bath time, which is rare.
