Old Friends

We had a great time at the first Hobbs Freeman Festival, where we met up with Emily and Sabol and Cortney, Victoria and Gabriel. Now that we're all so busy, we rarely have time to catch up with our old friends.

The great weather, music and afternoon hayride back at the McHan house made it a very special day…
Grady entertained Victoria and Gabriel with the "river" he made
from spilling water in the cracks of the street.

After dancing and climbing stairs, Grady copped a squat in the street to take a breather.

Our boy was pooped and ready for a nap after all the fun.

After Grady's nap, we headed to Bovina, where we all enjoyed a hayride…bumps and all!

Masterpiece

Grady spent some time coloring this past weekend and — to our pleasant surprise — he really put his heart into it…

While he created his masterpiece, he was listening to Fantasia, the Disney movie. I guess it helped spark some creative juices in our budding artist!

October-fests

October was a super busy, fun-filled month for the Foshee-Fields family. It seems we hit nearly every fall festival within a 50-mile radius. We even made a trip to Oxford — with a side-trip to Water Valley — to enjoy the fall weather and play on the Fiddlin' Rooster Farm.

Here are some photos of our weekend in the park and on the farm…

We all love Oxford in the fall!

Grady was especially happy about the nice, cool weather.

Climbing hills was a highlight to our visit to Lamar Park in Oxford.

And climbing rocks, of course.

Grady liked the chickens and roosters at Fiddlin' Rooster Farm…
until a rooster pecked his finger — twice!

Grady and Juliana loved the farm!

Playing in a big box of corn kernels was more fun than we could have imagined!

Considering his love of gathering and sorting, pouring and scooping, the corn bath was a hit.

Mommy and Grady took a ride on the cow train.

The huge soccer ball made up for the lack of pumpkins in the farm's pumpkin patch.

Grady snacked on the hayride.

As always, Grady enjoyed the slide at the farm.

Tiny Chef

Since Grady loves food and cooking so much, we thought it was only appropriate for him to dress as a tiny chef for Halloween. His costume was handmade by his Grandma, and it was perfect! Our little social chef loved ringing doorbells and gathering goodies in his pumpkin for his first trick-or-treating experience...

Ready to go!

We had a few practice "trick-or-treats" before we hit the street.

Good Ol' Sandy came along for trick-or-treating, but even
she couldn't convince the chef to don his awesome hat!

Grady was ready to collect!

Grady in action.
Checking out his treats.

Even though he didn't eat the candy, he had so much fun
shaking and organizing all the tiny packages.

Hey, Pumpkin!

We had a big time in Oxford last weekend. Grady was pretty fond of the St. Peter's Pumpkin Patch, even though it was unusually bare.

Memphis Zoo

As mentioned in previous posts, we met up with The Fieldses from Knoxville in Memphis a few weekends ago. Grady loved spending time with his cousins, Lydia and Virginia, whom he has seen only a couple of times since he was born. This visit was a rare treat.

We saw some adorable pandas...

Grady took his first carousel ride...

And loved it!

It was a great day full of sunshine and shoulder rides...

Grady managed to keep his hat on for most of the time...

The elephants were a hit for our animal-lover...

Lydia and Nanie had some good, quality time...

And, Grady and the girls enjoyed some quality bed-jumping (while laughing hysterically) in the hotel room...

We can't wait to see these sweet, silly girls next month for Thanksgiving!

Hotdog Dance

Grady has added a new TV show to his repertoire. The show, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, ends each episode with the "Hotdog" song, which makes our Grady dance…
