All About the Babies

We had a fun-filled week full of visiting and preparing for babies.



Lauchlin went with Emily (and Sabol, who's due to arrive in early March), to visit Cortney and her adorable kids. They were in town from Houston for the baby shower we helped throw for Emily. Above are Victoria and Gabriel getting acquainted with Sabol (thought by Gabriel to be a ball under Emily's shirt).

We got to see Gabriel walking and sporting his sister's headband...


And we were treated to some of Victoria's funny faces...



The shower was a success- our first tea party! The food was great...


And, Emily got some good loot...



Now, we're ready to meet Miss Sabol McHan.

Boogers and Wedgies?

We celebrated Ellen's fourth birthday Tuesday at Fox's Pizza Den. We couldn't resist wrapping her gift in the bag pictured below...


Ellen preferred what was inside the "booger" bag - Ariel.



We also got her a stuffed horse, which was obviously not as exciting..except, of course, to May...


And a real treat for us were the "wedgies," fold-over pizzas made famous by Fox's...


So good!

Holy...Baptism

We are pretty tired from our travels, but happy to have been part of Virginia's big day...


She was beautiful in her Christening gown and stole our hearts with her sweet smile.

And she's super snuggly!




We also had a chance to visit with silly Lydia...




She seemed to enjoy having all of her cousins, aunts and grandparents around...


So did we!
Now, we just have to find a way for Virginia and Little David Mitchell to meet. We think it's meant to be.



They have similar interests at least.

Delayed Departure?

We're all packed up and ready for our trip to Knoxville for Baby Virginia's Christening. She was only a month old when we last saw her and her sister, Lydia, in October. Here they were then:


We can't wait to see how much everyone's grown.
And, while we're almost ready to hit the road, there's one problem:



Somebody is not quite ready to say goodbye and part with the suitcase for a bed...


The question now is: wait it out or risk losing a limb? Luckily, we're not scheduled to leave for a little while longer!

On the "Seen"

New Look, Old Hat

Lauchlin has been sporting this hat every day since Friday. Like the rest of us, she's trying to stay warm during the Artic Blast of 2010. We're not exactly sure how it came to live here, but it's a hand-me-down from a chilhood friend. Although it's pretty old, it's still in great condition due to the fact that it hasn't been this cold in Mississippi since 1996!

Back on Track

We are starting this new year off right by diving head-first back into Weight Watchers. So far, we've taken some suggestions from fellow weight-watcher, Sandy. Here's what we feasted on Tuesday for dinner:




Zero-point vegetable soup....


Made from the freshest of ingredients.
And...



Greek chicken salad - a total of five points.
Losing weight tastes pretty good!
