If You Can't Beat 'Em...

Apparently, Grady grew tired of digging through his toy box. It's much easier to play with all the toys this way...

Climbing Artist

Grady has been enjoying the crayons our friend, Latrice, gave him for his birthday. Even though he is always tempted to eat the crayons, he has managed to create a couple of masterpieces, too.

Of course, his favorite thing has been to climb atop his hand-me-down art table...

We're looking forward to covering the fridge in many Grady creations.

Slurpin' Spaghetti

Here is one of the highlights from this summer...
Grady chowing down on spaghetti.
He is such a good eater! Spaghetti, as you can see, has become a mainstay. He is still a huge fruit-lover. He will eat a whole banana without hesitation. He's recently added tuna fish, graham crackers and guacamole (not at the same time!) to his ever-growing list of favorite foods.

Grady's Big Day

We celebrated Grady's first birthday with a big crab-themed splash party in our backyard. It was a total blast! We probably had about 50 people crammed in our little backyard. We had set-up our basement to be a cool place in which to retreat, but the power went out just before the party was supposed to get started. We were one of about 700 Entergy customers to lose power that day...until around 5:45 p.m.

Grady and his guests didn't seem to mind too much. With all the water activities, mountain of presents and cake and (homemade) ice cream, who had time to think about the outage?! Our little crab was a happy birthday boy!

Dinner Time

We don't often eat at the table, but this week we had a rare — and welcomed — exception. Grady's tall enough to use his chair as a booster at our dinner table now. And, he uses a spoon all by himself...sometimes.
