All it took was a piece of scrap wood from the shed, $10 worth of old door scraps from the antique store, white paint for the wash and lots of construction adhesive. Here is the finished product...
It took some time to figure out how to keep the doorknobs from falling off the wood and, thus, hitting some sleeping person in the head, but we tackled it with Tacky Glue and voilà...
The piece fits our door theme, as you can see...
Who knows what other works of art are in store for us.
